Odd construction, but no complaints
The "too long, didn't read" version is that I'm pretty pleased with it. Does the job, looks nice, and I can even use it with knits if I hang them carefully, because the tops of the hooks aren't too pointy. I'm using the baskets for hats and scarves, which has freed up some room in my dresser.

That said, just so you know:

There are a couple of slightly odd things about the way this coat tree goes together. It is shipped in three pieces (plus the baskets, flattened). The bottom section of four legs is one piece, the top section with the hooks is one piece, and the length of pole between them is the third.

The bottom piece folds flat and requires nothing but unfolding it. If you think of the legs opposite each other as a "set" of legs, then the two sets of legs sort of scissor together. Friction against the floor keeps them from flopping about, obviously. The section with the coat hooks also folds flat, with one "set" of hooks being fixed, and the other...
