Good coffee - adequate size
Bought this for my wife and it sat around for a while before we finally put it to use during Hurricane Isaac when our power was out for a week, but our gas range would still work with a match (old school). We really like the coffee which was rich and flavorful using Lavazza moka grind. Very easy to clean as well and if you follow the directions prep is simple and quick. Brews quickly too.
The total amount of coffee isn't what we would normally make. As New Orleanians we drink strong coffee in large amounts. So we found that a normal morning during the storm would take 2 or 3 runs before we were both finished. To be fair, there wasn't much else to do and the only other option was to hit the beer cooler but one has to observe certain niceties even in a storm so I generally waited until later in the morning for that.
I also bought my wife an HIC Brands 14-Ounce Stainless Steel Milk Frother which she likes even more than this coffee maker, and she likes the coffee...
