Looking for the cheap way out, I had previously purchased one of those 40 dollar devices available for making cotton candy. It was horrible, and I returned it a few days later. You spend half an hour with it to get enough cotton candy to fit around your thumb.
So I decided to try a real cotton candy maker instead. After a lot of research I decided to try my luck with this machine by Great Northern. The machine arrived very quickly in perfect condition, and I immediately went to try it out. It is very simple to use. Simply plug it in, wait about 5 minutes for it to heat up, then throw in your floss!
It makes an entire cone in about a minute. The biggest negative I had was that it was so fast, I was not quick enough the first couple of times to pick up the cotton candy! It takes some getting used to (unless you worked at a carnival in your previous life!). However, I did quickly get used to it and soon enoug was making full sized cotton candy cones...
