GOOD Basic Unit!
I've been using this a lot in the last two weeks and it's perfect for my uses, dehydrating fall harvest and other fruits and veggies at lower temps (105 or so) to preserve the enzymes too. Try pineapple, it's great, plus tomatoes with sea salt and Thyme or Basil. The built in timer is a plus at no extra cost.
My friend has one of these made by the same factory under a different name (same unit with the same controls just switched right to left). Ours work great, not top of the line name brand dehydrators, but good. I don't want to pay $300+ for a stainless steel dehydrator or a $100 extra for the Excalibur name with a front door on the unit. This unit still works great and I get the built in timer at no extra $50 charge, plus I still the temperature control I must have.
As for the other customer's review, pointing out "shifting" and warping in shipping, maybe Ace Ventura delivered it and kicked it around a bit?;-) This is not cheap...
