Lid Design Grows Mildew
I bought this item to replace my DLC series 11 cup food processor that I gifted to a friend. I am very dissatisfied with the design of this lid. As a raw food production tool I find the lid to be intolerable - the only way to clean it is to force water and soap through it. I've never seen a poorer design in a food service item. All surfaces should be accessible to clean with a scrubby utensil of some sort whether it be a sponge, brush or just my hand. After a few months of daily use this lid is now harboring mildew that can only be 'cleaned' by soaking in a bleach solution - not a toxic chemical that I want to be forced to use where soap and water once worked splendidly.
After spending weeks back and forth via delayed customer service emails, then phone calls to the warranty department attempting to file a complaint about the design I finally got the number for someone at corporate who simply told me I needed to clean this lid better. Clean it better? How? By...
